OUR SERVICES

Our diverse areas of expertise are designed to fit the needs of your projects

01.

GEOTECHNICAL (SOILS) REPORTS

The geotechnical (soils) engineering reports provide a description of the site conditions encountered and a compilation of the geotechnical data obtained during the site exploration and laboratory testing, engineering analyses for the design of structures, drainage control, a discussion of the seismicity, geotechnical conditions which may affect the project (such as liquefaction or lateral spreading) and recommendations for mitigation, if needed.

02.

ENGINEERING GEOLOGIC REPORTS

Engineering geologic reports aid in determining appropriate locations for structures, private sewage disposal systems, and foundation types for structures. The report provides a description of the site conditions encountered and a compilation of the geologic data obtained during the site exploration.

03.

FIELD OBSERVATION AND TESTING

Field observations include but are not limited to compaction testing, shoring systems inspections, drainage systems inspections, pile foundation inspections, and foundation excavation inspections during the grading and construction phase of the project.

04.

INFILTRATION TESTING

We use Best Management Practices (BMP) during infiltration testing to determine the potential storm water infiltration feasibility of a site, as well as helping the system designer properly size and locate the proposed storm water management facilities. Testing is performed per the guidelines of local governing agencies.

05.

LIQUEFACTION ANALYSIS

Liquefaction analyses characterize sites with regard to the potential of liquefaction during an earthquake, including settlement, lateral spreading, and the resulting effects and impacts on the proposed development. We also provide recommendations to help mitigate the adverse effects of liquefaction, if any, on the proposed development.

06.

EXPLORATORY DRILLING AND EXCAVATIONS

Exploratory drilling and excavation involves probing the subsurface to uncover what lies beneath a property's surface. For hillside properties, we conduct excavating test pits, while for flat properties, we utilize boreholes.

07.

SLOPE STABILITY ANALYSIS

Stability Analyses help evaluate the stability of current site conditions for static and seismic loading. Appropriate and adequate recommendations are provided for cost effective mitigation and stabilization devices to offset adverse impact, if any, of the development on slope stability.

08.

SITE EXPLORATION

Explorations are performed to evaluate the geometry of the underlying earth materials and to obtain samples for laboratory testing. We utilize surface mapping, Hollow-Stem Auger Drilling, backhoe excavations, Manual-Auger Drilling, and hand-excavated test pits.

09.

TEMPORARY SHORING DESIGN

Shoring solutions are generated based on field data. We perform calculations and analyses to determine maximum allowable excavations height, ABC Slot Cut Method limits, and generate designs for projects like basements, subterranean parking structures, and excavations.
